Park Fun

Emmy loves to go to the "Bigga" park and on Monday our playgroup had the activity at the new park across the street from our house. It is so nice to have access to this park and I look forward to spending many hours playing at the park with Emmy and Easton. Em and her friend J were trying out new ways of swinging on swings. Easton enjoyed his first time in the swing. Em couldn't get enough of the slides, swings, and just exploring what the playground had to offer. The weather is so beautiful right now. I love this time of year!!

Fall Fun @ the Arboretum

Emmy dropped Easton face-first in the dirt - read below for more info.

Arboretum Contined

Last Saturday, we decided because we were finally having beautiful weather that we would make a trip to the Dallas Arboretum. I guess we were not the only ones who had the same idea. We had to park out on the lawn because so many people were there for the fall festival. Each year the Arboretum has a pumpkin house, a hay maze, and mounds of small pumpkins you can purchase. It is a perfect place to take fall pictures of your kiddos and I guess we weren't the only ones who had the idea. Emmy wasn't into the pictures, but enjoyed the maze and pumpkin house and dropped Easton after a picture and thought it was the funniest thing. Easton didn't even shed a tear, but did a full face plant in the dirt and had a face full of mud. Overall, it was a fun day to enjoy the weather and the fall festival at the Arboretum. It also gave us an excuse to head up north to see my parents and brother. Oh how my kiddos love their Grammy, Poppy, and Uncle Joshie!!!! ***Sidenote: I promise that Easton's pants are not the floods they appear to be - although he is growing like a weed and it's hard to keep up with his clothing and growth!!!!***

Rocket Launch at Hatch Family Reunion

We just had to post this clip. When we went over to the San Juan Islands during our Hatch family reunion this past summer, Grandpa Hatch brought a rocket launcher with him and we had a little fun. Grandpa told the grandkids that if they caught one of the rockets on the way down, he would give them 25 cents. Well, Jaxyn took this quite literaly and on the second "launch" of this clip, she was determined to keep her eye on the rocket as it came falling down out of the sky. Like a linebacker coming through the line at the QB, she delivered one of the best tackles you will ever see - knocked the stroller right on its fanny. Great stuff, we love ya Jax!

Ashley's Birthday and General Conference

Conference weekend was awesome. We enjoyed each session (or what we were able to hear because of little ones). Thank goodness for CD's and magazines to re-read, read, or listen to a couple months after Conference. We also were able to celebrate Ashley's birthday on Sunday at my parents home. We had yummy enchiladas, salad, and fruit pizza (all per Ashley's request). We had fun being together and enjoying the final session of Conference. What a blessing to have family close by!!!

Lon's Birthday

Lon's birthday is in October, so we thought it would be fun to celebrate with pedicures while the girls were in town. We also went to a Tex-Mex place where they sang Lon a birthday song and made her wear this sombrero. She got a little into the song and started to dance - it was quite comical.

Girls Weekend 2009

Thanks to a very kind and supportive husband, Girls Weekend with my mother-in-law and sisters-in law went awesome! We played for two days straight. We took in Canton, ate yummy French and Tex-Mex food, had to-die-for pedicures, covered all of Hobby Lobby, and saw a little of the Galleria (Children's Place), and just enjoyed one another. The kids and Dane loved having a little time to spend with Lori, Lon, and Britt. Thanks for coming - let's do it again soon!!!
