Halloween Fun

We went to a Halloween playgroup @ my friend Sarah's home. It was so fun because the kiddos could decorate their own picture with Halloween stickers, play in the backyard, and have some yummy food. The Halloween cupcakes were the kiddos favorite. We went home with yummy treat bags loaded with candy, vampire teeth, and these beauty glasses. The kiddos thought it would be fun to take a picture with them on. Thanks Sarah for a fun playgroup! You never cease to impress with your creativity!

Dad/Poppy's Birthday

We celebrated Dad's birthday on his actual birthday. It was fun to be together and we had yummy Pei Wei. My mom sent me to get a Baskin Robbins mint chocolate chip ice cream cake. Yummo! As always when we are all together (minus Chris and Karim - we missed you both) the house is a bit of a nuthouse, but fun nonetheless! Em and Syd sang Happy Birthday to Poppy without even being prompted. It is fun to see the girls personalities developing and to see them learning and growing. Col Col and East still aren't sure about everything going on, but get right in and participate! I love being with family!

BYU vs TCU

Although BYU didn't win, we had a great time together. It was fun to go to the game with my parents, Ashley, Col, Josh, Kallie, and my date Em. We had a fun time at the game and Em was really good the whole 3 1/2 hours. After the game was over, she told me she still wanted to watch the "sootball" guys. She had fun swinging with Poppy and Grammy while on our way to the car. We stopped off at Freddy's burgers and custard on the way home. It was tasty! Thanks mom and dad for a fun day together. We love being close to family!

Arboretum - Fall is in the Air

We went to the Arboretum again with my Mom and Kallie this time. Kallie was a good sport and went again with us to see the pumpkin houses. There were tons of kids there to view the pumpkin houses and I think the kiddos were a little overwhelmed. We went in ok to view the houses, but by the end the picture below is what we were experiencing with the little ones. To say the least our stay at the Arboretum was short-lived, but boy do they have beautiful flowers and fall decor. I love the fall-time!!!

Columbus Day

One of the perks of having a husband who works for the government, is that he has 13 paid holidays a year. I know who gets Columbus Day off you say - Dane does. We decided to go to a park up north, but at the last minute we changed our minds because Em wasn't feeling well and we wanted to be close to home so we went to a park 15 minutes down the road. We took a picnic lunch and played on the playground and swings. Em was disappointed because she wanted to feed the ducks, and there were no ducks to be found around the pond. We came home and Dane did touch-ups and hung some things in Em's new room. It was a productive and fun day to be together. Here's to Veteran's Day next month and the fun we'll have with Dane's parents in town.
