Before leaving for Bellingham, I let Dane's family know that Eme would love to have a Princess party for her birthday since we would be in Washington for her actual birthday. Boy did his sisters come through! The kitchen was decorated like a old-fashioned tea party. The girls and boys drank out of different teacups and they ordered off a special menu compliments of Grandma and Grandpa's fixing. Eme felt like a Princess and was in seventh heaven. Thanks Britt, Lon, and Lori for making Em's birthday so much fun and memorable for a 3 year old girl.

Bellingham Trip 2010
We took our annual Washington trip August 6-12 this year. It is fun because we seem to be together for Eme's birthday each year and it is fun to be all together to celebrate one family birthday a year. We started off our trip with Shane and Katelyn's reception at the Institute Building in Bellingham. It was great to see the Hatch family together and reconnect with Dane's cousins, aunts and uncles, and Nan and Pop. East and Hatcher became little buddies and Hatcher couldn't put down his guitar (or piano as he called it). It is so fun that our kiddos have cousins to play with on both sides of the family. It was great to be together with Dane's family again.

Eme's Pre-Birthday Party

The night before we left to go to Bellingham to visit the Hatch crew, my parents decided to get in a quick birthday celebration with Eme. They came over for pizza, cupcakes, and presents. My parents got her a cute nightstand to go with her big-girl bed, a My Little Pony sticker book, and cute pink boots (Eme was excited about them, but not to be outdone Easton had to try them on too). We gave her some books, shoes, a princess dress (Sleeping Beauty), Ballerina Barbie, and Candyland. It was fun to see how excited she is about birthdays now that she is three. She is really into entertaining me lately and will sing Church songs at the top of her lungs in her microphone. It is awesome! We love you Eme!!!

Eme Turns 3!!!!!

I can't believe our baby girl is 3!!!! What a joy you have been these last 3 years. It has been so fun to watch you learn and grow. You never cease to make me laugh with your sense of humor and the way you express yourself. Your facial expressions are classic and your mischevious grin make being your mom all worth it! You never cease to make a deal and try to get in one more tickle at bedtime. You love your brother and are a great big sister. You want to choose the right and always want to bless Jesus and President Monson in your prayers daily. You are a delight and we couldn't have asked for a better gift than the day we found out I was pregnant with you. You have been such a joy and we feel blessed to have you in our home and part of our family. Happy Birthday, Em - we love you so!!!!
