Open House @ Eme's Preschool

Eme's preschool had a Open House night tonight to show the parents how their children are doing and what projects they are currently working on.  Eme showed us where she hangs her backpack daily, her tracing of her body, the centers she rotates through daily (computer, reading, playdough, letters/numbers, pretend play, art projects, etc.), her desk, etc.  She is loving being in the Pre-K class and loves her teacher.  Her teacher is teaching for her first time this year and I think the kids are loving her and learning together.  Her teacher told us that Eme was shy the first week and has since gone out of her comfort zone and really involved herself with the other kids.  It's fun to see her in her element and doing something she loves to do - learn!  Easton had a blast playing in the pretend play center and looks forward to starting preschool next fall.  I just couldn't resist the pictures of Tagg.  He is such a sweetie and such a good natured baby.  Love those dimples!

Dancing Eme

**Ignore the crazy hair** - Eme started taking a ballet/tap class on Thursdays with other 3-4 years olds.  She loves it and is enjoying coming home and showing me all she learned in both tap and ballet for the day.  She looks super cute in her leotard and tights and it is crazy to think that our little girl is growing up so fast and is old enough to take a dance class.  Not to be outdone by his sister, Easton had a picture taken also.  Easton is realizing that his sister is doing things (ie school, dance, etc.) that he isn't yet doing and is a little envious and sad because he misses his sister when she is gone to school.

Taggart

I just love this little guy!  His coos melt my heart and his blue eyes are so piercing.  He has the cutest dimples - one on each side - that just light up his face each time he smiles.  There was a reason Tagg was sent to our family - to teach us to appreciate and enjoy life.  He has such a sweet temperament and we feel blessed to have him in our family.  We love you, Tagg!

Labor Day - Fun at the Park

For Labor Day, Dane took the kiddos to see Cars 2.  Then in the afternoon, we all went to a park in a neighboring city so the kiddos could ride their bikes and play on the playground.  It was beautiful with temps in the 80's.  Which was a very welcome relief from the 100+ temps we've had during the last couple of months.  It was fun to be outside again and not drip sweat because of unruly temps.  Thank goodness a cool front came through, we are now in desperate need of rain!

Circus

We went to visit our best friends, the Links over the weekend.  While visiting, the men took the kiddos to the circus.  Dane said East had a death grip on him the whole time!  The faces in the pictures below is how East looked throughout the whole circus.  It didn't help that the first thing they saw when they came in was the clowns.  East has told me daily "Mommy, I not yike the cowns!".  Eme wasn't sure about the whole thing at first, but the cotton candy, popcorn, slushy, pony ride, entertainers, animals, and bounce house soon changed her mind. The kiddos had fun and were glad for the experience (mostly!).

Sweet Girl

This sweet angel entered the world today.  We love you already Sofia and can't wait to meet you!  Your cousin Eme is excited to have another girl cousin to share her dolls and Barbies with.
