For FHE last week, our activity was the blanket pull and blanket ride. Dane pulled the kids all over the tile on the blanket while they held on tight - even Tagg couldn't get enough of the fun. Then Dane and I held an end of the blanket and put each child in a swung them. All in all it was proof that simple really can create the most joy and best memories for children!

Taggart's 1st Birthday
We went and did a little swimming on Tagg's birthday. He took a 3 hour nap. Then we had some dinner and instead of cake I opted to do brownies and ice cream. I did not disappoint Tagg because once he figured out it was ok to eat, he enhaled the brownies and ice cream and as you can see from above it was all gone. He received a race car ramp from Grandma/Grandpa (Easton thought it was his and showed Tagg how it worked), a bed from Grammy/Poppy, and blocks from the family. We really try to simplify the 1st birthday because he won't remember otherwise. He loved the blocks and continued to keep knocking the towers down everytime we built a new one. Happy Birthday, Taggart. We love you so much and are so grateful that you came into our home. What a blessing you have been to our family.

Happy 4th of July
We celebrated the fourth with a pancake breakfast celebration at the church. Which we then followed with a bike parade for the Primary children - hence the decorated bikes for Eme and East. They had a blast until East had a crash (he doesn't understand the breaking concept on his bike quite yet!). We spent the day as a family with a dinner/birthday celebration for Tagg followed by Fireworks with my brother, sis-in-law, and nieces and nephew. It was a fun, full day!
