On our way home from Idaho via Salt Lake, we took a detour and spent some time with Britt, Hatcher, and Jaxyn @ the Wheatleys in McCammon, Idaho. What a blast we had! Thanks Vonna, Ralph, and Kristen for your hospitality!!!! We spent a couple of days sledding, feeding baby calves milk from a bottle, pony rides, dress-up, and just catching up and relaxing. We had yummy food thanks to Britt. You rock, Britt! Em and Easton weren't too sure about getting into snow clothes and sledding. Em and Hatcher enjoyed Jaxyn pulling them down the icey driveway more than they did sledding down the side of the hill. Em couldn't get enough of Jax and was her constant shadow for 2 days. The three of them (Jax, Em, and Hatcher) played dress-up to their hearts content and we appreciate Jax being so patient with Em. The pony rides didn't go over very well with Easton. He was ready to be off as soon as we would do it and Em held firmly to Jax's arm on the way down and back. Em and Easton liked the new calves from a distance, but wanted nothing to do with the feeding of the calves from a bottle. Jax took the reins and got right in there and fed the twin baby calves like a natural. Both Jax and Hatcher are very comfortable on the pony and showed their "city cousins" what riding a pony was all about. Thanks Britt, Jax, and Hatcher for meeting us - a fun time was had by all!!! We wish you lived closer. There is nothing quite like spending time with your cousins.
