It was an awesome Mother's Day! Dane and I went the day before for a yummy late lunch @ Macaroni Grill and then off to do some shopping for the both of us. I was able to get some fun new tops and a pair of capris. Dane used a giftcard we had on hand and got some new board shorts for our upcoming trip to Florida. Then Sunday I got up to have a yummy breakfast of Carmel Pull-Apart Rolls and eating breakfast with my husband (which never happens on Sundays because he is always gone to meetings by 6:15 am). Then church was nice and we had great talks on mothers and why we should value women. The Elders Quorum came up with the idea of 2 small boxes of chocolate for all the women in the ward. I think they were met with way to go from all the women in the ward. I was able to take a short nap(heavenly) while Dane watched the kiddos. We then headed over to mom and dad's for the rest of the afternoon. Of course the table was decked out to the nines. Mom had it set with blue and yellow decor and it looked awesome (especially with the beautiful flowers from Chris and Karim - missed you guys). We then had a yummy dinner of ham, sour cream potatoes, mac and cheese, green beans, rolls, and a delicious fruit salad. It was so tasty and as if it couldn't be topped, mom made her to-die-for oreo dessert. All-in-all it was a wonderful day topped off with wonderful company, lots of laughs, and yummy food. Thanks mom for making Mother's Day memorable and fun.
